Corporation truck wheel gone inside the Tar road.
Un answered Questions?
a) The contractor put tar on sand? How many months before?
b) Which authority checked / inspected the road work?
c) Did the corporation received any complaint at the time of road work at kalakshtra colony? If so what action taken?
d) Will this road be checked for the quality of the tar road done?
e) Who will take action?
f) Is the contractor liable if found guildy?
g) Is the Inspector who authorized the job will get any responsibility?
h) Is there any one go to RTI on this regards?

At Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji International airport, One Customes official and a sepoy were caught by the CBI after they kept Apple iPhone as guarntee to release worth of Rs. 14 Lakh demanding one lakh as bribe. The dealer then approached the CBI, which asked him to phone Deshmukh and recorded the conversation.Deshmukh sent Siddique outside to bring the dealer in. The moment they entered the airport, the CBI team followed. They caught Deshmukh and Siddique, and recovered the phone. <Details> |

Chennai. The CBI anti corruption wing on 20th jan 10 arrested an assistant engineer of central public works deparment for accepting a bribe of Rs. 2,000 from a contractor. Chandrasekaran, assistant engineer (Electrical and Planning), CPWD, DIVISION III, demanded a bribe of Rs. 2,000 to award an annual maintenance contract for EPABX system at the National Institute of Sidha at Tambaram Sanatorium. During the settlement of bills for the contract Chandrasekaran, who is also the contract recommending authority, demanded the bribe. |

A case ws regostered agaomst sp,e [rospm staff imder tje [rpvosopms pf sectopm 102 of the code of criminal procedure. This is the first time that a central prison has been entered upon by the DVAC. It was not clear how the 21 inch colour TVs made their way into special clas individual cells of some prisoners, They have registered a case against the warder from whose possession pornographic CDs were seized. |

Goa Tourism Minister arrested.
Goa Tourism Minister Francisco X Pacheco, of the NCP, was arrestee by the Crime Branch of the State Police in the "threat to kill and extortion" case and immediately released as he was earlier granted an anticipatory bail in the case by a local Court. Mr. Pacheco was released by the police on a bail of Rs. 5,000 and s surety for an equal amount. |

FCI General Manager (Tamil Nadu REgion) T. Jayakumar (56), Deputy General Manager R. Durairaj and six area Managers, who had come from different parts of the State, were named as accused after a day long operation at the Regional office in Nungambakkam.
Area managers were in the habit of giving bribe to the GM and DGM at monthly review meetings. The team raided a conference hall where a review meeting was held on Friday. On interrogation, Area Managers Vellimalayan (Coimbatore), Jagannathan (Tuticorin), Soundiram (Vellore), Panneerselvam (Thanjavur), Chandra Mohan Das (Cuddalore) nd Kumar (Chennai) allegedly confessed to having paid illegal gratification to the General Mangaer and Deupty gneral manager during monthly review meeting to ensure smooth running of their office and avoid freequent transfer/harassment, Besides seizing rs. 1.05 lakh in cash from a personal assistant of Jayakumar, investigators recovered Rs. 49,000 kept in different covers allegedly from Durairaj.
The CBI officials also conducted raids at the residential premises of the officials in Villivakkam and Anna Nagar. The FCI GM's house in Bangalore was also raided. "We have seized some papers from GM's house in Bangalore," the official said. |

Three fire officials caught taking bribe:
Three officilas Divisional fire officer S. Divyanathan and assistant divisional fire officer B. Kalasekahar at Thiruvallur and Kumananchavadi station fire office Bargunan were caught red handed on Monday evening. Their posts are equivalent to SP, DSP and Inspector in Police dept.
Kumananchavadi station fire officer Bargunan told the complainant Padmanabhan that for obtaining fire report for the purpose of claiming insurance for a gutterd two wheeler, he would have to pay Rs. 2,5oo |

Office of th Assistant engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in Keelakattalai was searched by the Directorate of Vigiliance and Anti Corruption. Unaccounted cash of Rs. 7,000 was allegedly seized.
Some Officials collected money for issue ofdomestic power supply. Hope the TNEB would have taken appropriate action. |
