Liberhan's Findings

 

As per Liberhan report. All bureaucrats and police officers of Uttar Pradesh, who served under the Kalyan Singh regim, and whose names find a place in the list of 68 persons, culpable of creating communal violance. V.K Saxena and D.B. Rai are already dead. Still more are alive and escaped form punishment. Another senior police officer holding a key post then was A.K. Sharan, Inspector-General, Lucknow Zone (he has been mentioned as IG Security in the Liberhan report).
Mr. Shrivastava was reinstated by the Central Administrative Tribunal in 1993 and he retired from service in 1996. Based in Lucknow, he is facing prosecution in the Special CBI court in the Babri demolition case.
Alok Sinha (his name has been mentioned as “Ashok Sinha” in the Liberhan report) was Tourism Secretary when the notification (number 3914/41–33/96) dated October 7, 1991, pertaining to the acquisition of 2.7744 acres of land near the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi complex was issued by the Kalyan Singh government.
It was in 1986 that the Ayodhya issue, which was lying dormant since then, took the centre stage following a verdict by the then District Judge of Faizabad, K.M. Pandey. He ordered the unlocking of the disputed Babri site on February 1, 1986.

Babri Masjid demolition enquiry commission headed by justice MS Liberhan has done a commendable job in pin -pointing, without any bias or favour, all those involved, whether directly or indirectly in the act of destruction of an old relic, Babri Masjid. In the fitness of things and to meet the ends of justice, it would be proper, if an expeditious action is taken against all the 68 individuals named in the report. To uphold the democractic values, the vested interests should refrain from any political intereference, so as to allow the law to take its own course.

Justice Liberhan goes on to say, “It cannot be assumed even for a moment that L.K. Advani, A.B. Vajpayee or M.M. Joshi did not know the designs of the Sangh Parivar. Even though these leaders were deemed and used by the Parivar … to reassure the cautious masses, they were [in fact] party to the decisions which had been taken.”

1934. Country wide Hindu Muslim riots. Part of Babri Masjid wall and domes damaged.
1949. Idols of Ram Lalla allegedly installed inside the Babri mosque at night by a group of Hindus .
1983. VHP launches a massive movement for opening the locks of the mosque.
1984. VHP forms a committe to liberate the birthplace of Ram and build a Temple. BJP leader L.K. Advani tales lead.
1986. Faizabad district judge orders the gates of disputed shrine be opened to Hindus for worship, Babri Masjid Action committee formed shortly.
1989. Rajive Gandhi allows shilanyas or ground breaking cermony at and undisputed site.
1990 Sep. BJP chief L.K. Advani launches Rath Yatra from Somnath in Gujarat to Ayodhya.
1990 oct. thoudands of kar sevaks moved to the disputed site to demolish the disputed structure. Mulayam Singh Yadav orders firing. Killing many.

1990 Nov. Rath Yatra stopped and Advani arrested in Samastipur in Bihar. The VP singh led coalition govt falls after BJP withdraws support.
1992 Dec6. Tens of thousands of kar sevak, who had massed at Ayodhya from all over the country, demolish the disputed structure. The incident triggers widespread communal riots in the country. Thousands dead.
2003 March. Allahadab HC orders ASI to undertake excavation of the idsputed iste and ascertain whether a temple existed at the place where the Babri Masjid was build.
2003 June. Kanchi Shankaracharya Jeyendra Saraswati send proposals the All India Muslim Personal Law bard to resolve dispute.
2003 Aug. ASI submits final report in Allahabad HC. Report says excavations found distinctive features of a 10th century temple beneath the mosque site. The Sunni Central Waqf Board terms report "Vague and Self Contradictory".
2005. The heavily guardeds site at ayodhya attacked by LdT terrorists. the attack foiled by security officials and the attackers killed.

2009 June. Liberhan Commission submits r eport to PM Manmohan Singh after 17 years of its formation and 48 extensions.

If the Delhi News paper did not leak the repot, The public has to wait for ___ years?

JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED.
By Whome and To Whome? Where is justice?
The Court should give reply with dignity.
