RTI ACTIVIST SHEHLA MASOOD MURDERED
16 Augest 2011.
After a public outcry, investigation into the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood seems to be finally gathering pace. Two BJP MPs, a BJP MLA and a police officer were being questioned by the Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force.

Shehla's family claims it sees mining mafia as the prime suspect.
BJP MP and spokesperson Tarun Vijay is one of the politicians being questioned in the murder of the RTI activist from Bhopal. Vijay had a long telephonic conversation with Shehla at 9:29 am on August 16, just hours before she was found murdered in a car. But the police said that the questioning of the BJP MP is routine and that there is no evidence of his involvement in the murder. Vijay said that Shehla was an associate. "She was an associate and was in constant touch with us," Vijay said.
Talking to CNN-IBN Vijay said, "My family and I are open to any probe. I just had a 3-minute conversation with Shehla over Anna. Someone is trying to divert attention away from the murder."BJP MLA Dhruv Narain Singh who was in constant touch with Shehla and spoke to her the night before she was killed, is also under scrutiny
In her last interview to a weekly magazine, Shehla claimed she faced threat from sitting BJP MLA Vishwas Sarang and senior IPS officer Pawan Srivastav whom she also caught on audio tape threatening her.
Shehla claimed that Srivastav was close to another BJP MP from the state Anil Madhav Dave. Both Dave and Sarang are yet to be questioned by the police.
The state government has already sought CBI investigation into the murder, but debate over the RTI activist's murder is fast acquiring a political tone.

NEW DELHI: After the Centre gave the go-ahead for a CBI probe in RTI activist Shehla Masood's killing, the agency will soon begin investigations and go to Bhopal to re-create the crime scene and take the case file from Madhya Pradesh police. CBI has been asked to investigate the case in which some biggies could be allegedly involved, after the MP government forwarded the request to Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Masood was shot in the head in front of her residence in the Koh-e-Fiza locality in Bhopal around 11 am on August 16 when she was about to go to a rally that was part of Anna Hazare' campaign against corruption.

CBI officials said they had not formally received the DoPT notification but it was expected to come by Saturday after which a team of forensic experts from CFSL Delhi would go to Bhopal to look for evidence. The agency will file its own FIR in the case and question all the people already questioned by Madhya Pradesh police. Her call details will also be analysed.

Shehla Masood against animal killing:
Bhopal : A local NGO has reportedly launched a massive signature campaign to demand the arrest of those involved in the killing of a tigress in Madhya Pradesh’s Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. So far, the organization has collected 36,145 signatures from all over the country in support of their demand, Secretary of NGO Udai, Shehla Masood
Behind Shehla Masood's murder?

Bhopal: Even three days after the sensational broad daylight murder of social activist Shehla Masood, the Bhopal police is appears to be clueless as it has failed to get any substantial lead in the case.

Investigating officials, who scanned Shehla’s mobile phone and laptop to gather information, failed to get any important information. However, the police has come across documents concerning a property deal. Shehla had recently purchased a piece of land in Rs 80 lakh and according to the officials privy to the investigation, the land deal could be the reason behind the social activists murder.

The police has now directed its probe towards finding out as to who were the other people in the land deal and from where Shehla arranged the money to buy the land.

When enquired about the progress in the case, SSP Yogesh Chaudhury told Bhaskar News that the police is probing various aspects of murder. He also confirmed that officials are also scanning the documents concerning the contentious land deal.

Meanwhile the police intensified the investigation in the case as it has to handover the case diary to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).  The state government had ordered a CBI probe into the murder of Shehla Masood, who was found shot dead in her car infront of her residence on Tuesday.

Who behind the murder?
Bhopal, Sep 3: The CBI, seems to be acting hard over the murder case of RTI activist Shehla Masood. It has made successful attempts in digging out facts that Masood was seeking details about the business activities of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Anil Dave.
Infact, the RTI copies filed by Masood has been accessed by CNN-IBN. She had asked for details about Narmada Samagraha, an NGO backed by the BJP Rajya Sabha MP.

Shehla had filed applications with the Rajya Sabha Secretariat asking for details about BJP MPs from Madhya Pradesh. Shehla herself was working for the RSS backed Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Trust, organising events for them from Srinagar to Kolkata to Delhi. She alleged misutilisation of funds in the trust.

Sources have said that a section of Sangh Parivaar and a senior IPS officer in Madhya Pradesh had dubbed her as an ISI agent.
