Respect Mother but for Whome?
Self
: Hello Mr. Mheik, I am watching you for the last half
an hour, you are busy with your friend discussing something.
Any important matter?
Mheik
: Oh. Nothing serious. My friend made a big mistake,
luckily I came to know and advised him to go in the correct
direction.
Self : What is that? Can you tell me, if you
don’t mind?
Mheik : Of course. Why not? There was a problem with my friend and his
mother. Friend has big argument with her and now staying
with his wife separate. I
told him to respect and asked him to obey what ever his
mother says.
Self : Did you ask what was the matter
caused the separation?
Mheik : No need to know those matters. Only thing, he has to listen and
accept even if she say wrong. It is the duty of a son to
obey the parent’s command. There is no question of right or
wrong. He should not have any argument, that is all, I said.
Self : Oh, now the peoples are well
educated. They know much more knowledge than their parents
in so many matters. So it is better to discuss and
compromise. They can
not accept all matters as they new what is correct and what
is wrong.
Mheik : Again you are doing a big mistake. This is against the law. Parents
have full right against their son in all decision. No son or
daughter can talk against them in any matter. Pl. don’t
argue wrongly. It is not the correct way. You have to change
your mind too. This is the main thing, I forced my friend. I
advised my friend to get apology from his mother.
Self : Mr. Mheik, I cam to know that your wife asked her mother to get out of her house. She also asked your
daughter to shut the door by sending grand ma out and not to
allow her inside in the next time. Is it correct?
Again Mr. Mheik turned his head and left the place
without any reply. |

Dowry Vs Gift :
Self
: What happened, you are smiling, anything happy?
Mheik
: That is right. My cousin got marriage. Before
marriage, I advised him not to get any dowry from the bride.
It is absolutely bad thing. Getting money or material from
the bride is very bad practice in our society.
Self
: Yes, you are correct. Now the situation is improving.
As the education level increase, dowry is slowly decreasing.
Mheik
: You know one thing, if any one give or get dowry, I
will not attend the marriage. I used to advice every one
just to neglect those marriages. If every one does that, our
society will improve fast.
Self
: What about your cousin?
Mheik
: He is good. He is educated, good earning, but did not
collect even a single paisa or any single material. He is
honest.
Self
: Fine. After his marriage, in the next day a truck
load of Soffa, Bed, Washing machine, Ac, Fridge, Micro Oven,
Cooking items came from his wife’s house. What about that?
Mheik
: Oh! You are wrong. Completely you misunderstood. He
did not ask any thing. His father in law gives them as gift
to his daughter. His wife has the right to accept the gift
from her parents. My cousin has nothing to do with that.
Self
: Mr. Mheik, if so,
why don’t you advise your cousin, to buy
two truck load of materials and send it to his wife
house as a gift from his father?
When I was talking, Mr. Mheik left the place without giving
